Shane Kearneyis the head coach of the Alpharetta High School Swim Team. He is originally from northwest Florida and graduated from Florida State University. Coach Kearney began competitive swimming in the 8th grade and has loved the sport ever since. He spent the past year as the assistant head coach of the girls’ basketball program at AHS and currently teaches in the social studies department. Before coming to Alpharetta, he worked for several years in the Ocean Rescue division at the Panama City Beach Police Department. Coach is passionate about swimming and hopes to bring a high level of commitment to the program. He enjoys the responsibilities of coaching and looks forward to working with our competitive swim program at Alpharetta.
Coach Chandalyn is the community coach for the Alpharetta swim team. She has 20 years of coaching experience, 13 of those as head coach. Additionally, she has 15+ years of competitive swimming experience including AAU, high school, summer league, masters and triathlon. She is a graduate of the University of Florida - GO GATORS! And is an ACE-certified Personal Trainer/Health Coach. She has a passion for working with teenagers and feels it is important to focus on their development as a person as well as an athlete.
